We love taking walks and exploring the Hudson River Valley. This shot was taken at the lovely Saugerties Lighthouse built in 1869. It is set back one half mile from the parking area thru wooded tidal wetlands so you have to be aware of not getting stranded by the tides. I was fascinated by the patterns bark beetles made in the bark of this tree, unfortunately destroying it in the process. I have tiled or mirrored the image in order to make yardage out of it.
